Dental resident shines at oral and maxillofacial radiology session

Husniye Demirturk Kocasarac, D.D.S., an oral and maxillofacial radiology resident in the School of Dentistry, won three awards from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the group’s recent annual session.

Dr. Kocasarac won:

  • The Dentsply Rinn Research Award, given to a resident for the best oral and maxillofacial radiology research poster;
  • The Howard R. Raper Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Award, which recognizes a graduate student with potential for an academic career in oral and maxillofacial radiology; and
  • The William H. Rollins Award, which recognizes a graduate student or junior faculty with an outstanding body of research in oral and maxillofacial radiology.

Marcel Noujeim, D.D.S., is the oral and maxillofacial radiology program director in the School of Dentistry.
