Joette Garza-Garibay, project coordinator in the UT Teen Health program in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, participated in a Facebook Live session with the San Antonio AIDS Foundation.
The interview covered:
– The mission and vision of UT Teen Health.
– Who the program serves.
– The training and technical support the program provides to partners and school districts.
– What types of resources are provided to San Antonio teens and parents, including trauma-informed care, parental education, the teen-friendly clinics and referral services.
– The UT Teen Health Youth Leadership Council, which teens can volunteer to join, that promotes positive life decisions, goal setting, leadership, resources and public speaking skills.
