Library introduces 24/7 access

Beginning June 1, the Briscoe Library will be open 24/7 for UT Health San Antonio students, faculty and staff.

“24/7 access, long requested by students, has been made possible by recent changes affecting library space, collection and access policies,” said the library’s Pegeen Seger.

After regular hours, swipe-card access to the library will be available using a UT Health badge, she added.

Library doors will be open during regular hours to UT Health and community users until 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and until 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday. After 9 p.m. (or 6 p.m. on weekends), UT Health students, faculty, and staff can swipe their ID badge to enter the library.

The entrance doors from the parking lot and rear courtyard will also be locked after these same hours and will require card swipe access.
