News 4: Local doctors get $7.2M to fight opioid crisis across Texas

UT Health San Antonio is leading an effort to make sure people who otherwise would not be able to afford opioid treatment get the help they need.

Dr. Jennifer Sharpe Potter is leading the statewide collaborative, called Texas Medication for Opioid Use Disorder.

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission has awarded UT Health San Antonio a $7.2 million contract for the initiative.
