UT Health San Antonio will honor Karen and Ronald Herrmann at its annual President’s Gala set for 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio.
This year’s event marks the 50th anniversary of the School of Nursing at UT Health San Antonio.
Proceeds from the gala will establish the Karen and Ronald Herrmann Endowment for Research to Advance Excellence in Caregiving. The endowment will support our “Caring for the Caregiver” program at the School of Nursing, which promotes the health and quality of life of caregivers and their loved ones.
Each year, the President’s Gala provides valuable support for our university’s mission to make lives better through education, research, health care, and community engagement. Our community role is to educate a diverse workforce of health care providers and scientists; engage in research to improve health; provide state-of-the-art patient care; enhance community health awareness and practices; address health disparities; and serve as the health safety net for San Antonio and South Texas’ most vulnerable populations.
