Spectrum News: In midst of coronavirus fear, doctor recalls SARS outbreak of 2003

Dr. Jan Patterson, professor of medicine and infectious diseases, talks about her work in Toronto during the SARS outbreak in 2003.

She was placed at a hospital with one of the highest rates of transmission.

Patterson said she wanted to go to Canada to help the global community and to learn how to prevent future outbreaks at home.
