On May 15, supporters of UT Health San Antonio gathered at Cordillera Ranch for an evening focused on the upcoming merger between UT Health San Antonio and The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).
Moderated by Jennifer Sharpe Potter, PhD, MPH, senior vice president for research, UT Health San Antonio, and interim vice president for research, UTSA, the event featured a conversation with Taylor Eighmy, PhD, president, The University of Texas at San Antonio, and acting president, UT Health San Antonio, and Francisco G. Cigarroa, MD, senior executive vice president for health affairs and health system, UT Health San Antonio, who outlined their shared vision for the future of the new, unified university.
The discussion highlighted how combining academic and clinical strengths will drive innovation in research, education, and health care — impacting the region and beyond.
