The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) added and updated travel advisories due to the coronavirus outbreak for these countries:
- Level 3 — Avoid Non-essential travel: China, Italy, Iran and South Korea.
- Level 2 — Practice Enhanced Precautions: Japan.
- Level 1 — Practice Usual Precautions: Hong Kong.
The CDC’s travel page also identifies Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam as “other destinations with apparent community spread.”

All business travel to these countries for UT Health San Antonio employees should be closely reviewed. The majority of medical conferences and study abroad activities to these areas have been canceled or postponed to Fall 2020.
Environmental Health and Safety and International Services will review all international travel requisitions daily to assess the impact of new cases.
