Research from the Cancer Therapy & Research Center at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio reveals another function of the breast cancer susceptibility gene BRCA1. This could lead to improved diagnostics and treatment tools for this form of breast cancer.

HSC partners to bring more bioscience industry to San Antonio

Supporting the growth of the bioscience industry in our region, the Health Science Center in 2010 awarded a $500,000 incentive grant to bring InCube Labs to San Antonio from San Jose, California. The city of San Antonio, Bexar County, the Texas Research and Technology Foundation and UTSA also partnered in this successful effort. The work continues to pay off today.
