For the first time in its 53-year history, UT Health San Antonio celebrated a combined, all-school commencement May 22 at the Alamodome.

Recently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released updated guidelines stating that fully vaccinated people can now resume activities without wearing masks or physically distancing, except where required. Whereas UT Health San Antonio will follow these CDC guidelines, aligning with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s executive order, a masking mandate for clinical areas will remain, based on the recommendation of Texas Department of State Health Services Commissioner, John Hellerstedt, MD.
