Annual operating budget planning cycle FY 2020

The annual budget planning cycle for fiscal year 2020 is beginning. Changes this year include the use of projection, moved from the preliminary steps of the planning cycle to quarterly activity. Additional changes and reminders will be included in a Hyperion Budgeting Webinar on March 14. The Office of Budget and Financial Planning is partnering with the business application user support team to provide functional and technical assistance labs for both projection activity and budget planning. Hyperion Projection Labs

Hyperion Projection Labs will include an overview and demonstration of the Projection process as well as functional and technical assistance to you while you work on your Projection review with assistance as needed from representatives from the Budget and Financial Planning Office, Long School of Medicine and DCATS.

Register through the Administrative section of the Course Catalog of the Knowledge Center. Lab dates and times are as follows: Feb. 22, 1 to 3 p.m., LIB 2.011; Feb. 25, 9 to 11 a.m., LIB 2.011, and Feb. 28, 1 to 3 p.m., LIB 2.011.

Hyperion Budgeting Webinar

Save the date for the FY 2020 Budget Webinar which will be held on March 14 and will include a high-level overview of the Hyperion Budgeting process and key assumptions related to budget development. You can register for the Hyperion Budgeting Webinar in the Knowledge Center under Administrative section of the Course Catalog. The deadline to register for the webinar is March 13 at 2 p.m.. An email will be sent to all registered end users with webinar details the day prior to the event. If you are unable to attend, a recording of the webinar will be posted afterward on the Knowledge Center. More information to follow including a time and link to access the webinar.

Hyperion Budgeting Labs

Hyperion Budgeting Labs will include an overview and demonstration of the Budget process as well as functional and technical assistance during the Department Budget Entry period. Register through the Administrative section of the Course Catalog of the Knowledge Center. Lab dates and times are as follows: March 29, 9 to 11 a.m., SON 1.418; and April 16, 9 to 11 a.m., SON 1.418.
