Annual reporting of outside activities and financial interests

UT Health San Antonio’s annual reporting of outside activities and financial interests is currently underway. To comply with federal and state regulations, Board of Regents’ rules and as required by HOP 10.1.6, 10.1.8, and 10.1.12 certain UT Health San Antonio faculty and staff are required to submit a retrospective report that details their outside activities and financial interests in the preceding calendar year. Eligible faculty and staff have been notified via email that they are required to submit a report through iDisclose before February 2, 2021. Those individuals who do not have any outside activities or financial interests to disclose must still submit a report. Please help ensure institutional compliance with this important reporting requirement.

As a reminder reporting is required of:

  • All faculty (regardless of full-time equivalent or appointment type)
  • Executive officers and employees who exercise broad and significant discretion over key institution functions
  • Employees who are involved in procurement and contract management
  • Employees responsible for the design, conduct or reporting of research

What to disclose (not exhaustive):​

  • All outside professional activities, regardless of compensation​
  • All external compensation​
  • Sponsored/reimbursed travel​
  • External resources made available to you often referred to as ‘in-kind’ support, foreign or domestic (i.e., lab space, personnel support, etc.)​
  • Equity
  • Royalties
