Applications now being accepted for 2025 Public Health Camp

Application deadline is May 2

Applications are now being accepted for 11th- and 12th-grade students interested in attending Public Health Camp this summer. The free camp provides the opportunity to explore exciting careers in public health — the area of health that focuses on improving the well-being of people and their communities.

The goal of the camp is to increase the future public health and biomedical workforce capacity by building student awareness and knowledge of population health-related professions.

Camp attendees will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, attend public health-focused field trips and enjoy a fun and dynamic atmosphere. The camp identifies and focuses on essential public health services that provide the core public health functions of assessment, policy development and assurance.

Public Health Camp has been offered since 2011 as a partnership between The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio’s Institute for Integration of Medicine and Science, the South Central Area Health Education Center and UTHealth Houston School of Public Health.
