ASPET honors Dr. Woods’ contributions to pharmacology

The ASPET Division for Behavioral Pharmacology has recognized the contributions of James H. Woods, Ph.D., to pharmacology by naming its early career award in his honor.

ASPET is the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.

In a letter to Dr. Woods, ASPET said it “has established this award to recognize outstanding original research by early career investigators in the area of behavioral pharmacology.” The JH Woods Early Career Award in Behavioral Pharmacology will be presented annually.

Dr. Woods, is professor/research in the Department of Pharmacology.
