The Charles E. Cheever, Jr. Center for Medical Humanities and Ethics will host “Night of the Arts,” an annual fundraiser organized by student leaders of the Student Faculty Collaborative Practice (SFCP) free clinic program, on Jan. 23 at 5 p.m. in the Holly Auditorium, located at 7703 Floyd Curl Dr., San Antonio, TX 78229.
A student-led event, “Night of the Arts” is a showcase of visual and performing arts that brings together students, faculty, staff and community members to celebrate the connections between music, art and healing. Proceeds from the event support the ongoing work of the SFCP program, which has provided free health care services to underserved populations and hands-on educational experiences for volunteer trainees for more than 20 years. The evening will include dinner and a silent auction featuring original artwork as well as donated items and experiences. Tickets are donation-based, starting at $10, with all proceeds benefiting the SFCP free clinic program.
