Henrich elected to presidency of American Society of Nephrology

William L. Henrich, M.D., M.A.C.P., dean of the School of Medicine and vice president for medical affairs at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, was installed Nov. 19 as president of the 9,500-member American Society of Nephrology.


Crash robbed South Texas of neurosurgeon’s heart and talent

I received the news early in the morning of September 20. Roman Hlatky, M.D., a highly valued faculty neurosurgeon at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, had been killed in a motor vehicle accident on his way home from University Hospital.
