UT Health San Antonio recognized for its leadership in the fight against COVID-19

UT Health San Antonio faculty, staff, students, residents and fellows were recently recognized with a Star Award by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). The 2021 Star Awards recognized institutions of higher education for outstanding efforts to respond to COVID-19.

Cigarroa, MD, is the inaugural recipient of the Joe R. & Dr. Teresa Lozano Long Medal of Excellence Award presented by the LLILAS Benson Latin American Studies and Collections at The University of Texas at Austin, in conjunction with benefactors Joe R. and the late Teresa Lozano Long.
