An oral cancer screening ‘can be lifesaving’

With oral and oropharyngeal cancers accounting for more than 58,000 new cancer cases each year in the U.S. , routine dental check-ups are more than about clean teeth and fresh breath, they “can be lifesaving.”

School of Dentistry ready to serve patients with special needs

The School of Dentistry celebrated the opening of its Phil and Karen Hunke Special Care Clinic on Feb. 7. The clinic will provide comprehensive dental care for adults and children with intellectual, developmental, cognitive or physical disabilities, and those with complex medical conditions.
