Budget planner named to NACUBO Fellows Program

Ginny Gomez-Leon

Ginny Gomez-Leon, associate vice president for budget and planning at UT Health San Antonio, has been selected for the 2018-19 National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) Fellows Program.

The program is a one-year professional development opportunity for a small cohort of promising higher education leaders in business and finance. This year, only 11 business and finance leaders were selected to participate.

“I am excited to be part of the NACUBO Fellows Program,” Gomez-Leon said. “In addition to studying under executive leaders at universities across the country, this program will allow me to augment my experiences by comparing challenges, discovering new best practices and expanding my support network of peers with similar professional interests and passions.  This coaching program will better prepare me to enhance and evolve my leadership abilities within higher education.”

Gomez-Leon has served in a variety of roles at UT Health San Antonio for the past 20 years. She is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. from Our Lady of the Lake University.

NACUBO, founded in 1962, is a nonprofit professional organization representing chief administrative and financial officers at more than 1,900 colleges and universities across the country. NACUBO works to advance the economic vitality, business practices, and support of higher education institutions in pursuit of their missions.
