HSC partners to bring more bioscience industry to San Antonio

March 3, 2016

Supporting the growth of the bioscience industry in our region, the Health Science Center in 2010 awarded a $500,000 incentive grant to bring InCube Labs to San Antonio from San Jose, California. The city of San Antonio, Bexar County, the Texas Research and Technology Foundation and UTSA also partnered in this successful effort. The work continues to pay off today.

HSC fares well in Shine Academy conference

The Health Science Center was well represented with more than 20 poster presentations and sessions at the 2016 Innovations in Health Science Education Annual Conference held in Austin Feb. 18-19. The conference is a part of the University of Texas Kenneth I. Shine, M.D., Academy of Health Science Education.

Advisory committee formed for Military Health Institute

An External Advisory Committee for the Health Science Center’s Military Health Institute, comprised of military health experts from across the country, has been formed. The committee held its inaugural meeting Feb. 26 in San Antonio.
