University name reflects ambitions as preeminent institution

The University of Texas at San Antonio is the new name of the institution created by the integration of two San Antonio powerhouse universities — The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and UTSA. The new university, also called UT San Antonio, is positioned to further enhance San Antonio’s emergence as a vibrant hub for academic, research and innovation excellence in South Texas.
