$6 million CPRIT award to bring veteran cancer researcher

UT Health San Antonio and its Mays Cancer Center will receive a $6 million award from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas to recruit Alexander Mazin, PhD, a senior, highly accomplished biochemist and cancer biologist currently at Drexel University College of Medicine.

Healthy adults needed for statewide research studies

The University of Texas System Health Biobank (UTHSB) Consortium is a collaborative effort among eight UT institutions to standardize and expand access to human biospecimens. As part of this effort, pilot projects to gather healthy controls are currently ongoing at UTHealth Houston, UT Southwestern and UT Health San Antonio.
