In alignment with the recent message from UT Health San Antonio President William L. Henrich regarding revised COVID-19 safety protocols for UT Health San Antonio, the following amenities at Gold’s Gym will be reopening effective June 1, 2021.

Recently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released updated guidelines stating that fully vaccinated people can now resume activities without wearing masks or physically distancing, except where required. Whereas UT Health San Antonio will follow these CDC guidelines, aligning with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s executive order, a masking mandate for clinical areas will remain, based on the recommendation of Texas Department of State Health Services Commissioner, John Hellerstedt, MD.

Herff Jones data breach

UT Health San Antonio has been made aware of a data breach involving Herff Jones, the graduation cap and gown vendor used by universities across the country. We understand that this breach may have left bank information compromised, including customer data such as first/last name, address and credit card information. 


Assessing the diversity climate at UT Health San Antonio

On May 18, UT Health San Antonio will begin a first-ever campus-wide diversity climate survey. All faculty, residents, trainees and staff are strongly encouraged to complete the survey that will be online from May 18 through June 15, 2021. Students will be surveyed later in the fall of 2021.
