Regents approve UTHSC Medical Arts and Research Center

The Health Science Center’s request to proceed with the financing and construction of a state-of-the-art ambulatory clinic was approved last week by The University of Texas System Board of Regents. The 250,000-square-foot Medical Arts and Research Center (MARC) is one of the Health Science Center’s latest initiatives to advance clinical medical education and care.
HSC gets $6 million to expand clinical studies of depression

Cooley, M.D. Francisco G. Cigarroa, M.D., president of the Health Science Center, invites the community to join Dr. Cooley as he presents: “My 60 Years of Cardiovascular Surgery,” at 11 a.m. Oct. 20 in the Health Science Center auditorium. International report gives Dental School high marks

The Dental School at the Health Science Center ranked fourth in publications and 11th in scientific impact among the world’s 760 dental schools from 1998 to 2002, according to a new report issued by a Swiss center that measures scientific metrics.
