Charles Katz Drive to be excavated starting July 8 to run water lines to Center for Brain Health

Charles Katz Drive will be excavated from Monday, July 8, to Saturday, July 20, notwithstanding inclement weather, to install chilled water lines to the new Center for Brain Health building adjacent to the Medical Arts and Research Center (MARC) on the Greehey Campus (also referred to as the north campus).

The accompanying road closures and available alternate routes will be communicated to the university community before the work begins. Patients and community partners will also be informed of this partial road closure.

The excavation will affect the university community and patients serviced by the MARC, the Sam and Ann Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies, the South Texas Research Facility (STRF), the Center for Oral Health Care and Research and both the imaging center and the Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases in the McDermott Clinical Sciences Building.
