Come celebrate Earth Day!

UT Health San Antonio will celebrate Earth Day with a variety of exhibitors and vendors who are working to promote sustainable practices in our community. The event, sponsored by the Green Initiatives Committee, is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in the Lecture Hall Commons.

Exhibitors include: Alamo Area MPO, National Park Service, Bexar County Master Gardeners, CoSASolid Waste Mgmt, CoSAParks & Rec., CPS Energy, VIA , AACOG, Lancer Hospitality, the UT Health San Antonio Safety Office, Grounds, Briscoe Library, Garden & Health Interest Group, History of Medicine Group, and the Green Initiatives Committee (gogreen.uthscsa.edu).

All of the vendors will have handouts regarding their missions and many will have freebies.  The Go Green committee will hold a drawing for items donated by the Whole Earth provision company in the Quarry. The items include a cool backpack, a reusable water bottle and a headlight flashlight with an available rechargeable battery.
