Daily temperature screening required to prevent the spread of COVID-19

Temperature self-screening station

All faculty, staff, students, residents and patients must go through a daily temperature screening at entry points across campus.

For your safety and convenience, UT Health San Antonio has installed hands-free temperature self-screening stations.

To use the self-screening station, stand on the marked position on the floor and follow the station’s directions. The stations are hands-free. Please do not touch them.

If you approach the station without a mask, or if a temperature higher than 100 degrees Fahrenheit is detected, an alert will sound to notify you that a mask is required or that your temperature exceeds screening guidelines.

If you hear the alert or answer yes to any of the screening questions, follow the instructions on the sign next to the station.

If you need assistance, call the COVID-19 hotline (210-450-8000) or the public safety officer on duty can help answer your questions.

Locations where you’ll see these stations, now or in the future, include the School of Medicine building, Academic and Administration Building, the Professional Administrative Resource Center (PARC), Medical Arts and Research Center (MARC), Mays Cancer Center, the Center for Oral Health Care and Research, the South Texas Research Facility, the School of Nursing building, Briscoe Library, Academic Learning and Teaching Center, McDermott Clinical Sciences Building, Research and Academic Building, Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute and Facilities Management.

Even with these temperature self-screening stations, there is still a need for screeners at select screening locations.
