UT Health San Antonio is the official local sports medicine provider for the XFL and San Antonio Brahmas, the city’s XFL football team. The sports medicine team provides comprehensive medical care for players on the field for home games, ensuring the health and safety of each player.
UT Health San Antonio’s Katherine Bartush, MD, head orthopaedic surgeon, and Ken O. Kenneth-Nwosa, MD, head team physician, lead the local medical team for the Brahmas and the XFL. They are joined by orthopaedic surgeons Thomas DeBerardino, MD, and Philip Jacobs, MD.
