The virtual silent auction benefitting the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) begins on Sept. 13, 2021, and the deadline to donate items for the auction has been extended. The SECC is the annual charitable giving campaign for state and higher education employees.
Last year’s virtual silent auction was a huge success and gift baskets and handcrafted items were very popular. All departments, staff, faculty and student groups are invited to participate in this year’s virtual silent auction.
If you’d like to get creative and showcase your talents, please consider donating items to the online auction. Some ideas include a gift basket, artwork, handmade jewelry or other crafts. All contributions are appreciated, with the exception of clothing.
A description of the item or items you’d like to donate, a photo and value should be submitted to the auction committee no later than Friday, Aug. 27. The deadline was previously Friday, Aug. 13. The items for the online auction will be collected at a later date.
