E-visits provide convenient, quality care

UT Health Physicians now offers e-visits for existing primary care patients through MyChart. E-visits allow patients to easily connect with their primary care provider to receive convenient, quality care for common medical conditions. With e-visits, patients can receive care online from anywhere with internet access.

How do e-visits work?

Patients can submit e-visit requests using MyChart at any time of the day or night, seven days a week. When requesting an e-visit, patients will need to answer a questionnaire and provide details about their specific symptoms or medical conditions. After submitting an e-visit request, a primary care provider will review the information and respond within 24 hours. If the request is submitted over the weekend, the provider will respond within 24 hours of the next business day.

During an e-visit, patients communicate with their provider by exchanging messages on MyChart. The provider will utilize the patient’s medical history information to provide a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan tailored to the patient’s specific symptoms or medical condition.
