Electric vehicle charging stations now available

Two electric vehicle charging stations have been installed at UT Health San Antonio. One on the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long Campus, adjacent to the Central Energy Plant, and the other station is located behind the South Texas Research Facility (STRF) on the Greehey Campus.

You must have a valid UT Health San Antonio parking permit to use the charging stations.

How to use the charging stations:

Parking space for electric vehicle charging ONLY

Parking in a charging station space while not actively charging your vehicle or utilizing the space with a vehicle that does not require charging will result in a citation for an improperly parked vehicle.

Promptly remove vehicle after four hours of charging or when charging is complete

Once the vehicle has charged for the maximum four hours or vehicle charging is complete, the vehicle must be moved to the appropriate parking lot and/or space, depending on the type of permit displayed in the vehicle. At all times, charging station space is reserved for the purpose of vehicle charging.

Charging is limited to 4 hours

There is a maximum four-hour time limit when using the charging station. Failure to remove the vehicle after the four-hour time limit will result in a citation.

Charging fees are $1.00 per hour first four hours, $3.00 per hour each additional hour.

Charging stations on campus require payment to ChargePoint. Download the ChargePoint app and register your account. You can visit ChargePoint’s site or call 1-888-758-4389 for more payment information.
