Event connects schools, departments with local businesses

Representatives of 26 local small businesses greeted more than 150 faculty and staff members on April 19 at the spring edition of the HUB Vendor Fair at Holly Auditorium.

The event connects schools and departments with Historically Underutilized Businesses, local companies that are women-, minority- and veteran-owned and certified by the state.

“We were pleased with the turnout from the vendors and from our schools and departments,” said Eric Walls, senior director of Supply Chain Management. “This event and engagement of HUBs overall continue the connection between the university and local small businesses.”

Participating vendors offered a variety of goods and services, including catering, medical supplies, office equipment and more. Find registered businesses and services via the HUB program’s portal. Another HUB Vendor Fair is planned for the fall.
