Roshi Joan Halifax, Ph.D., a Buddhist teacher, anthropologist and pioneer in the field of end-of-life care, will describe how compassion can enhance resilience in clinicians and caregivers. At a time when more than half of U.S. physicians show signs of burnout, compassion is an important feature of well-being.
The event is free and open to all. A catered reception will begin at 5 p.m. with the lecture at 6 p.m. Continuing Medical Education credit is available.
