Free Shred Day rescheduled

Due to the threat of rain, Free Shred Day, originally set for Oct. 19, has been postponed until Oct. 26.

Free Shred Day is the most popular cyber security event on campus. It’s hosted by Information Security to combat identity theft. The annual event is for faculty, staff and students to shred confidential work or personal records as well as hard drives.

Free Shred Day is Friday, Oct. 26, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Long campus main entrance near the flag poles. There will be 10 gray Shred-it bins available from Oct. 22 through Oct. 26 throughout the Long main campus hallways for employees and students to securely discard documents for shredding.
