Faculty, staff bring questions to procurement team

More than 150 people visited presentation tables recently to learn how their procurement processes can work smoothly.

Twenty-two Supply Chain Management employees marked Procurement Appreciation Day on March 21 by staffing tables and answering questions in the Lecture Hall Commons and at the Medical Arts & Research Center.

Many faculty and staff members visited with questions already in mind, including about initiating and tracking orders and about the Historically Underutilized Business program.

“We were very pleased that so many people stopped by, and that we could visit with them and answer their questions about procuring goods and services,” said Christelle Farias, assistant director of purchasing.

“We want to help make the process as efficient as we possibly can. Listening to their needs and asking how we can help was our main reason for scheduling this outreach event.”
