UT Health San Antonio’s float in the Texas Cavaliers River Parade, June 21, celebrated the School of Dentistry’s 50th anniversary.
Delayed for over year due to the pandemic, the theme for this year’s river parade was 2020 Vision. The faculty, staff and students from the School of Dentistry proudly represented UT Health San Antonio’s “Vision for Healthy Eating,” donning aprons and chef hats on a float decorated with fruits and vegetables.
Riding on the barge were Dr. Peter Loomer, Dr. Roger Macias, Dr. Selina Fuentes, Dr. Gary Guest, Dr. JoAnn Jordan, Jonathan Thompson, Georgina Gross, Tricia Smith, Kaitlinn Johnson, Delmera Arriola and Lydia Leos, accompanied with music from the Acquiesce Band led by UT Health San Antonio staff member, Lynda Schrack, and her bandmates, Rudy Balderaz and Alex Cavazos.
