Float along on the Texas Cavaliers River Parade

UT Health San Antonio will again sponsor a float during the Texas Cavaliers River Parade, one of the biggest Fiesta events, to be held on Monday, April 23, at 7 p.m. It will be televised on KSAT.

The university is acknowledging the School of Medicine’s 50th anniversary by having students, faculty, alumni and staff from the School of Medicine ride the barge. This year’s theme for the parade is Magnificent Missions; our float’s theme is Mission of Discovery. Also, the band playing on our barge is MixTape Valentine.

Employees also purchased over 90 seats in the UT Health San Antonio section along the river to view the River Parade.

UT Health San Antonio Fiesta medals are still available around campus and will also be on sale at the Fiesta kick-off event, Fiesta Fiesta Pin Pandemonium, in the Hemisfair plaza on Thursday, April 19.

Watch the river parade here. To see UT Health’s barge, scroll down to the last video and after the commercial, speed up to 41:39 and you can see our enthusiastic faculty, students and staff from the School of Medicine.
