
Vivek H. Murthy, M.D., M.B.A., who served as the U.S. surgeon general from 2014 to 2017, will deliver the Ewing Halsell Distinguished Lecture on Wednesday, April 17, in Holly Auditorium.
A reception will begin at 4:30 p.m and the presentation is set for 5:30 p.m. The title of Dr. Murthy’s lecture is, “A Conversation on Cultivating Well-Being.”
Dr. Murthy advocates for a healthier America in a new way, focusing attention on well-being and burnout – particularly among physicians – and describing implications for productivity, creativity, educational outcomes and more.
