UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry is hosting a free preventative dental screening for 250 second graders from Edgewood Independent School District on Valentine’s Day.
This is the second day that the free screenings have been offered this month. February is National Children’s Dental Health Month.
In total more than 500 Edgewood ISD students will receive care this month from dental students and residents at UT Health San Antonio.
This is the 18th year that the School of Dentistry has provided preventative oral health care for local students.
Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas Inc. provided a $15,000 grant for the sealants and dental materials used during this month’s clinics.
