GCCRI childhood cancer symposium set for March 3-6

On March 3-6, the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute (GCCRI) will host the symposium, “Childhood Cancer: Research Challenges and the Future of Therapy” at the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio.

The symposium will bring together some of the most respected childhood cancer researchers in academia and industry, along with science advocates, to discuss current advances in basic and translational sciences and their impact on therapy and diagnosis.

Special student rates are available.

The keynote speaker will be Brigitte C. Widemann, M.D., chief of the Pediatric Oncology Branch, head of the Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics Section and senior investigator, National Cancer Institute.

Two Greehey faculty members, Greg Aune, M.D., Ph.D., and  Alexander J.R. Bishop, D.Phil., are among the speakers.
