Gifts for Children project in full swing

Want to make the holiday season a little brighter for sick and hospitalized kids? You can through UT Health San Antonio’s annual Gifts for Children project.

Here’s what to do. Donate a new toy (do not wrap it) for infants through teens, or make a monetary donation. Your department may have a representative collecting the contributions. Or, bring your gift to the lobby of the AAB Building on Wednesday, Dec. 4, and place it under the tree for sorting and distribution.

Gifts will be distributed to children hospitalized or being treated at several institutions, including University Hospital, Mays Cancer Center, UT Pediatrics, Haven for Hope and others.

Gifts for Children began 30 years ago with the idea of bringing a bit of cheer during the holiday season for children in the hospitals and clinics where our residents and students train. Last year, more than 3,000 toys and other items were delivered.
