Give thanks safely

Like almost everything else in 2020, Thanksgiving won’t be the same. Can’t be the same. One of America’s most revered holidays — like Easter, July Fourth, Labor Day and Halloween — before it, Turkey Day has to be re-formed, reconfigured. Otherwise, the dark winter forecast by health providers across the country will become a forbidding nightmare.

But, thankfully, a safer Thanksgiving doesn’t mean a nonexistent one. The safest, almost no-risk Thanksgiving is a celebration with members of your household only. Outside of that, here are tips to lower the risk of hosting or attending a Thanksgiving gathering, as well as alternatives to traditional activities and general information.
