Fourth year graduate student Sergio Cepeda and his mentor, Dr. Ann Griffith, assistant professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Molecular Genetics, are among 45 recipients of the Gilliam Fellowships for Advanced Study from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI).
The grants to doctoral student-adviser pairs support the development of their scientific leadership and commitment to advance diversity and inclusion in the sciences.
