The UT Health Science Center San Antonio will hold a special community health presentation on heart disease from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, in the D.D. Hachar Building at the Health Science Center’s Laredo Campus Extension, 1937 Bustamante Street.

On Friday, April 11, the American Heart Association (AHA) will honor Steven Bailey, M.D., of the University of Texas Health Science at San Antonio, with the 2008 Heroes for Heart Award. Dr. Bailey is interim chief of cardiology and the Janey Briscoe Distinguished Chair in Cardiovascular Research at the UT Health Science Center.
