UT Health San Antonio endorses HPV vaccination

The Cancer Therapy & Research Center (CTRC) of UT Health San Antonio is uniting today, Jan. 11, with all the other National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated cancer centers in the U.S. in issuing a joint statement urging parents to have their children immunized against human papillomavirus (HPV) and encouraging physicians to recommend it.



Faculty member wins Latino health research award

Amelie G. Ramirez, Dr.Ph., an internationally recognized expert in cancer health disparities research at UT Health San Antonio, has received the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Distinguished Lecture on the Science of Cancer Health Disparities award.
