Cancer survivors fun run/walk set for March 25

The Cancer Therapy & Research Center of UT Health San Antonio™ is holding a 2.6-mile fun run/walk for cancer survivors, family members, friends and the community. Called “Give Cancer the Boot,” the event will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, at the CTRC, 7979 Wurzbach Road.




Learn how to ‘Improve Health and Delay Aging’ at free UT Health event March 4 in Laredo

The Laredo community is invited to learn how to “Improve Health and Delay Aging” at a special event featuring healthy tips, hands-on demonstrations and guest speaker Dr. Fernando Sanchez, a Laredo neurologist. The free conference will be held 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 4, at the Laredo Regional Campus of the UT Health Science Center San Antonio, now called UT Health San Antonio, at 1937 E. Bustamante St.

UT Health San Antonio endorses HPV vaccination

The Cancer Therapy & Research Center (CTRC) of UT Health San Antonio is uniting today, Jan. 11, with all the other National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated cancer centers in the U.S. in issuing a joint statement urging parents to have their children immunized against human papillomavirus (HPV) and encouraging physicians to recommend it.
