A long-term study of women with a genetic predisposition for breast or ovarian cancer showed that those who elected major preventive surgeries had a significantly reduced risk of those cancers.

Two techniques that implant mesh slings to hold up the bladder are both good options for women who leak urine when they sneeze, cough, laugh or exercise. One of the techniques results in fewer serious complications, however, according to a national study conducted at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and other institutions.
