Inclement weather possible

Dear UT Health San Antonio faculty, staff, students and residents:

The National Weather Service is forecasting freezing temperatures and precipitation for the next several days. We will monitor these conditions and advise on how they may impact operations at UT Health San Antonio.

The easiest and best way to receive updates on emergencies is to sign up to receive text messages via our emergency messaging system, HSC Alert. Please follow the directions on this link www.uthscsa.edu/HSCAlert to sign up or verify that you are already signed up.

Additionally, Outlook email notices will be sent to your inbox. You can also check the front page of our website, uthscsa.edu, and click on a link to news.uthscsa.edu/weather. This page will bring you the latest campus weather-related updates.

As each of our missions of education, research, clinical care and community service is unique, decisions on closures, cancellations and/or delayed openings will be made at the unit level. Faculty and staff should take direction from their supervisors, chairs and clinic managers. Students with scheduled in-person activities should follow their school and program protocols related to clinical rotations or other activities and should receive further direction from the school and faculty leadership through either program listservs or their class CANVAS page. Virtually-delivered lectures are likely to continue as scheduled.

UT Health San Antonio leadership wants to ensure that everyone remains safe during what may prove to be challenging road and weather conditions.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Andrea Marks
Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
