KGNS TV reports that, starting Feb. 9, a new alternate care site is up and running to help care for mild to moderate COVID-19 patients on the UT Health San Antonio – Laredo Regional Campus; being conveniently located between two major hospitals, Laredo Medical Center and Laredo Specialty Hospital, this alternate care site will serve patients who, prior to the standing up of this site, would have been hospitalized; this measure now allows for these patients to have a few extra days of monitoring.
