Dr. Ruben Mesa, director of the Mays Cancer Center, is featured in this story about the results of a new COVID-19 and Cancer Consortium study published in The Lancet.

According to the study, cancer patients who get COVID-19 have a 13% risk of dying, more than double the rate for all patients with COVID-19 combined.
